Deathstroke kicks off Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's final announced season

UPDATE 11.12pm: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League developer Rocksteady has confirmed the beleaguered live-service game’s impending fourth post-launch season is officially its last, with no more content on the way. However, servers will remain live indefinitely, and a new offline mode will launch later this week.

Rocksteady shared the news in a Season 4 Deep Dive on the Suicide Squad website, explaining that development of the game officially concludes with the launch of Season 4 Episode 8 on 14th January, 2025. “This will serve as the last seasonal/episodic content for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” it noted in an accompanying FAQ.

“You’ll still be able to enjoy co-op with friends,” its post continued, “as well as all previous seasonal/episodic content.” Additionally, the launch of Season 4 Episode 7 on 10th December (officially the start of Season 4, despite the somewhat confusing name) will be accompanied by a new offline mode. This lets players access Kill the Justice League’s main story campaign and all its post-launch seasonal content without an internet connection.

Additional details, including the availability of specific content when playing in offline mode, can be found in Rocksteady’s FAQ.

ORIGINAL STORY 12.32pm: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s fourth season starts tomorrow, marking the beginning of the end for Rocksteady’s current roadmap.

From 10th December, players will be met with DC supervillain Deathstroke. The developer shared news of his debut with an image on social media platform X, although further details on the upcoming season for now remain pretty thin.

Rocksteady has thus far only committed to four seasons of content for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. It shared its 2024 roadmap back in January, promising new weapons, environments, gear and more. Things kicked off with the arrival of The Joker in March, before Mrs. Freeze joined in the summer. More recently, Zoe Lawton joined for Kill the Justice League’s third season. However, her debut didn’t particularly spark much enthusiasm among players. Perhaps Deathstroke will have better luck.
